Early Intervention (EI)

  • Early Intervention (EI) is a state-funded program for children birth to age three who may have developmental delays or disabilities. It provides therapy and support in home and community settings to help young children reach important milestones.

  • Children must undergo a developmental evaluation to determine if they meet Pennsylvania’s eligibility criteria for Early Intervention services. If you have concerns about your child’s development, we can guide you through the evaluation process.  Please contact us for more information.  814-944-2986

  • If your child is under three years old and you have concerns about speech, movement, or other developmental skills, you can contact your county’s Early Intervention office to request an evaluation. If eligible, you can request Blair Therapies to provide services as an Early Intervention provider.

  • Early Intervention services are delivered in a child’s natural environment, such as their home or daycare. This helps families and caregivers integrate therapy strategies into daily routines.

  • Pennsylvania Early Intervention follows a coaching model, meaning therapists work directly with caregivers to help them support their child’s development. Our therapists provide hands-on coaching, modeling techniques, and offering guidance to empower families.

  • Yes! Pennsylvania’s Early Intervention program is funded by the state and is provided at no cost to families.
